Compassionate Caregivers
JACER FUNdamental Beginnings, LLC is a home-based Group Family Day Care in the Wallkill area for children 15 months to 5 years old. Staff are CPR/First Aid certified. The program offers high-quality childcare services and is licensed by New York State Office of Children and Family Services. With the expertise of the director, children will engage in age-appropriate experiences that will further the development of each and every child.
Our Mission
JACER is dedicated to promoting a diverse, unbiased, and inclusive culture where children’s emotional, intellectual, and physical developmental needs are met through rigorous, developmentally appropriate play-based instruction. Using a curriculum that peek’s children’s curiosity and allow for their individual differences, needs, and learning styles, children will be prepared for the ever-changing world.

Program Goals
JACER will provide learning experiences that will foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills,
- Social Skills: To develop children’s capabilities to interact with their providers and peers in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. They will participate in large and small group activities that will build self- confidence, independence, and self-reliance.
- Cognitive Skills: To build children’s thinking, their ability to read, acquire knowledge, reason, recollect, and to demonstrate sustained attention.
- Language Skills: To enhance children’s listening and communication skills in order for them to engage in meaningful discussions.
- Social-Emotional skills: To enable our children to recognize their own emotions and the emotions of others, to help them to establish and build meaningful friendships and connections, and to provide them with age-appropriate tools and strategies that will contribute to them making good choices.
- Mathematical Skills: To develop children’s understanding of counting, addition and subtraction, measurement, sorting, problem-solving, and other skills through age-appropriate mathematical concepts
- Physical Skills: To improve children’s fine and gross motor skills as they engage in age-appropriate movement activities.
- Literacy Skills: To enhance children’s vocabulary and build on their reading and writing skills
- The Arts: To incorporate music and various art forms and materials to build on children’s love of the arts as they exercise their imagination and creativity.
- Scientific and Technology Skills: To encourage children to learn about themselves and the world around them through observation, experimentation, hypothesizing, prediction, questioning and documentation so that they can draw informed conclusions.
